The suspect in the murder of Sergeant Matt Ratana in Croydon has been named as 23 year old Louis De Zoysa

54 year old Ratana died in hospital after being shot in a custody suite on Friday morning.

Mr De Zoysa is believed to have also shot himself and is critically ill in hospital 

Sergeant Ratana who was originally from Hawke’s Bay in New Zealand is the 8th officer to be shot dead in the UK in the past 20 years.
