The scheme is part of the Mayor of London, TfL and Hounslow Council’s 'Streetspace' plans to boost walking and cycling.
To reduce construction time and cost, the majority of the temporary scheme is to be built largely within existing carriageway space.
The trial will be reviewed next year to decide if it should be made permanent.
