A determined RSPCA inspector has recaptured a snake which caused a scare when it gave its owner the slip in Dorking.
Animal rescuer Louis Horton was called to the scene when the reptile was spotted slithering across the car park of a residential care home at Beare Green.
After a thorough search of the car it was finally discovered snuggled up in the boot, and reunited with its owner.
The animal, identified as a milk snake escaped from is home through an open window.
Milk snakes are harmless but their markings are easily confused with coral snakes, which are extremely dangerous.
