Every pupil in Hammersmith and Fulham in need will receive free meal vouchers through the half term

They’re paid for through community contributions won by the council through negotiations with property developers.

School breakfasts will be provided to 600 local children most in need of help.

Footballer Marcus Rashford has been leading a campaign to get kids free meals through the holidays, which was voted down in parliament.

Chief Secretary to the Treasury, Stephen Barclay, has defended the decision.
