Richmond now has the highest rate of coronavirus cases in all of London.

Government figures show it now has a rate of 112.1 new cases per 100,000 people.

The news comes after council leader Gareth Roberts released a video on Twitter asking people who are refusing to follow social distancing measures to “pack it in.”

Richmond Council says the figures need to be looked at again as its own research shows a quarter of positive tests  were taken by Richmond residents outside of London as far away as Leeds.
