He’s the first Cypriot council leader in Britain and is also the longest-serving leader in Merton’s 55-year history.
After being honoured by the Queen in her birthday list, Councillor Alambritis said:
“It has been an absolute privilege to lead Merton Council and serve the diverse communities in a place which I am proud to call home.”
