The Mayor of London has approved a controversial development for 450 houses at the old Homebase site in North Sheen

Richmond Council had refused planning permission on the grounds it was too invasive. 

But Sadiq Khan says Richmond still has "a long way to go" to fulfil its housing targets.

He also says it's the site is "well connected" and "underutilised."
