The UK’s first “poppy crossing” has opened outside the home of the Poppy Factory in Richmond.

It’s part of the Council’s programme of activities to mark this year’s Armistice Day and Remembrance Sunday.

A major redevelopment of the factory, which opened in Richmond in 1925, will be completed next year.

The national charity supports veterans with health challenges across England and Wales on their journey into employment.
