Two convicted murderers who attacked the killer of schoolgirl Sarah Payne have each been jailed for a further seven-and-half years.

 Roy Whiting was attacked by Richard Prendergast and Kevin Hyden at his cell in Wakefield prison in 2018.

61 year old Whiting was jailed in 2001 for abducting and murdering 8 year old Sarah from Hersham while she played in fields in Sussex.

He suffered multiple puncture wounds in the attack.
