Leatherhead based wildlife rescue charity Wildlife Aid Foundation wants people to consider the damage loud bangs have on them.
The organisation is urging people to consider buying silent, or low noise alternatives to traditional rockets and bangers.
Each year WAF deals with a range of firework related casualties, including burns and road casualties.
It says hedgehogs and other animals also often get trapped in bonfires, having unwittingly hidden in them before they are lit.
