The four-storey block was under construction, and fell to the ground around 11.30 last night.
40 people have been evacuated from neighbouring properties and a 25m cordon was put in place.
A police search dog also carried out an external search of the building, and there are no reports of any injuries.
London Fire Brigade is still at the scene.
