A shisha bar in Mitcham has been closed after customers were sharing mouthpieces and not social distancing.

Santiago’s has been investigated before, after carbon monoxide was found to be affecting a flat above the premises.

No smoking of shisha is allowed inside public places.

Council leader Stephen Alambritis says they “appreciate the pressure” on businesses, but a “blatant breach” of COVID-19 safety measures “will not be tolerated”.
