It looks like Spelthorne Council is scaling down the amount of houses it is planning to build

The authority wrote to the Secretary of State for Homes last year to express concern over the Local Plan.

Bosses said building 600 homes a year would have a detrimental impact on the greenbelt.

The figure has now been provisionally changed to 489, although a government consultation has to close before it can be confirmed.
