A British Airways flight from Heathrow to Athens was forced to make an emergency landing after the co-pilot fell unconscious.

The captain had already turned the plane around midway through the flight as his co-pilot had been complaining about feeling unwell.

But he soon deteriorated, and the captain was ordered to make an immediate landing in Switzerland so that he could be rushed to hospital.

British Airways would not disclose what caused him to pass out.
