A property investment company based in Battersea has apologised for offering GP surgeries money for unused coronavirus vaccine doses.

The Hacking Trust emailed surgeries in Bristol and Worthing offering to pay a charity ‘or the staff member directly’ in return for jabs.

The company has said it was aware many vaccination appointments aren’t kept and its “good intentions” were “misinterpreted”.

NHS England said people "will rightly take a dim view of anyone who tries to jump the queue".
