Children in Wandsworth who need it will receive free laptops and internet dongles so they can continue online lessons.

Those eligible for free school meals will also receive food vouchers.

More than 2,000 children are to receive the devices from the council.

Since the pandemic began, until April, the council is set to have shouldered an extra £43m in costs, with a £19m loss of income.
