Nearly £1,500 has been raised for a doctor at Kingston Hospital after his bike was stolen

Dr Josh Wilcox had it taken during a 13-hour shift.

After seeing a Facebook post about it, plasterer Ben Mclean from Surbiton created a GoFundMe page to get him a replacement.

Dr Wilcox says he’s “utterly blown away” and it’s turned a “sour tasting event into the most emotional and magical moment”.

The remainder of the money raised has been donated to children’s charity Anstee Bridge, which provides alternative learning to teens facing emotional challenges.
