The Teddington based creator of one of the most watched dramas of the decade has been awarded an OBE this year.

 Jed Mercurio was responsible for the Bodyguard and Line of Duty and also wrote the Grimleys and Critical Cardiac Arrest 

He was inspired in his film career by his earlier work as a hospital doctor and an officer in the RAF.

He has also been a big supporter in the campaign to save the Landmark Art Centre during the pandemic.
