There are calls for the government to stop using a pesticide which has been shown to stop bees being able to fly

The government authorised the emergency use of Syngenta Cruiser SB on sugar beet this year, due to a danger posed by a plant virus.

Green Party MP Caroline Lucas has written to the environment minister, in a letter co-signed by Twickenham Lib Dem MP Munira Wilson and Hammersmith Labour MP Andy Slaughter.

She’s calling for the government to pursue other means to protect and restore wildlife.
