The council has stepped in, and the outlet on Plough Lane must replace the trees, and plant more on top of that.
The dealership must also work with schools on environmental projects, and “give a significant financial contribution” to allotments.
Councillor Martin Whelton says “our residents like trees” and that “environmental damage like this will not be tolerated”.
