There are calls for a tougher trade deal with Australia, to avoid British farmers being priced out the market.

Farmers are worried that tariff-free imports could mean cheap goods flooding the UK market.

Lib Dem Richmond Park MP Sarah Olney says it “set a dangerous precedent” for other trade deals and has written to the International Trade Secretary.

The team involved says “We have been consistent throughout this process that we don’t comment on the details of the negotiations”.
