A doctor at Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals has been found to have carried out intimate examinations on women without good reason.

Dr Georgi Tsakov from Bulgaria did not offer a chaperone, a screen to change behind, or explain his rationale.

A tribunal says his fitness to practice is “impaired”, and must report any new posts to the register office, as well as write a Personal Development Plan.

The Hospital Trust has apologised, reported him as soon as they were aware of the allegations, and is no longer employed there.
