A man who jumped off Hammersmith Bridge to save two people from drowning in 1930 has finally been recognised

A plaque has been unveiled in tribute to Arthur Richard George Knight, a former boxer, better known as Chick Knight.

It’s been installed on a bench on the Thames Path in front of Riverside Studios, next to where Chick entered the water.

The installation follows a campaign by his great nephew Andy Scott who has also written a biography about him.
