Boarders were trying to raise £10,000 by paddling for 12 hours from Old Windsor to Kingston on Saturday.
But provisional figures show donations have so far topped £15,000.
It costs around £9 million to provide London with an advanced trauma care service 24 hour a day, 7 days a week.
