People in New Malden say they are still waiting for Thames Water to finish works outside their homes two weeks after it was started

Some residents claim the utilities company began work to install water metres on their driveways without notifying them first.

They say the holes that were dug are still unfilled and protected only by manhole covers which are not fixed to the ground.

Thames Water maintains it did alert residents to the fact it would be installing compulsory water metres via a series of letters.
