Plain-clothes police officers will now video call a uniformed colleague to confirm their identity when stopping a lone women.

Metropolitan Police Commissioner Dame Cressida Dick says the new system's being introduced in London following the kidnap in Clapham Common and murder of Sarah Everard.

The 33-year-old was killed by a serving officer who staged a fake arrest before kidnapping her.
