The controversial Streetspace scheme in Chiswick has been reviewed, but will go ahead as planned.

There will be access restrictions to Staveley Road between 8am and 7pm, but residents on some roads will be exempt.

It’s been criticised for possibly affecting businesses, and vulnerable residents who need access to deliveries and support services.

The A4 Residents’ Association says they’re “in a mix of shock and depression”, and will have to take “convoluted loops” around town.

The council says they’ve had independent reviewers look at the scheme, and they’re aiming to encourage walking and cycling.
