The UK's biggest force has become the latest to make changes so police can verify their identity to lone women.

Plain-clothed officers with the Met will make a video call to their supervisor, to prove who they are.

It's after Sarah Everard was kidnapped at Clapham Common and murdered by an off-duty officer who faked an arrest.

The head of the force, Dame Cressida Dick, told a London Assembly committee they must regain the public's trust.
