With the recent wet weather and storms, the importance of protecting the UK’s wetlands is now more urgent than ever.

With this in mind, the London Wetland Centre in Barnes has launched its first ever Illuminature lights display.  

Matt Carter is director of operations at WWT, the charity which runs the site.    

He says the aim is to get people to experience the nature reserve in a different way, after dark, so they can learn more about it.
