Police had found a number of parcels at Gogmore Park, which have been recovered and delivered back to their intended recipients.
An investigation was launched after a report in the Eastworth Road area, with the suspicion that more people had been targeted.
The person was arrested on Guildford Street, and the force says it should “serve as a reminder that you can’t just take other people’s stuff”.
