Some porters and cleaning staff are protesting outside Croydon Hospital today in a row over sick pay.

The GMB Union says the payslips show no sign of sick pay during COVID absences. 

Helen O’Conner, from the union, says the response has been “underwhelming”.

A spokesperson says the teams play a “vital role” and the contractor, G4S, says employees continue to receive full pay for COVID-related sickness.
