A park in Feltham is to have a green canopy for generations to come thanks to a community tree planting project.

The historic Hanworth Park has become home to 18 young trees that will grow to maturity over the next 50 years.

The varieties include Beech, Black Poplar, Liquid Amber, Lee, Blue Atlas Cedar, Hornbeam and Stone Pine and stand between 12-15 feet.

Members of the community and Friends of Hanworth Park joined forces with Hounslow Council to bring the project to fruition.
