A woman from Croydon has completed a gruelling 11 hour challenge to raise awareness of the young deaf community.

Kate O’Sullivan finished the 26.2 mile “Winter Walk” at the weekend in a time of 11 hours and 26 minutes.

 She’s raised £330 so far for the National Deaf Children’s Society, which supports the UK’s 50,000 deaf youngsters. 

 Kate says she chose to walk for the charity because her youngest daughter Holi is deaf and has cochlear implants.
