Conmen have fraudulently ordered and stolen £500,000 of machinery by pretending to be a legitimate construction company.

The incident happened between the 14th and 21st of January.

The machinery was delivered to addresses in Shepperton, Chertsey and Virginia Water, and then removed.

When the company who provided it followed up with the company they believed ordered the items, they had no knowledge of it.

The missing items include a three-tonne dumper swivel, four loading buckets, and a 17-tonne excavator worth £185,000.
