It’s been revealed that Human bones found on farmland in North Yorkshire belonged to two RAF airmen, lost in 1944.

22-year old’s Pilot officer Alfred Milne, from Mitcham and warrant officer Eric Stubbs, from Guildford were on a training exercise when their plane went down near Chop Gate.

The men have been returned to their families and given military burials.
