The council says its recycling rate has “rocketed” from 31.7% to 36.4% over the last two years.
The figures from Defra cover the period of the pandemic from April 2020 to March this year.
The recycling rate increase of almost 5% makes Lambeth the fourth most improved out of all 338 authorities in England.
