Mole Valley residents are being reassured reports of untreated sewage being discharged into the River Mole are under investigation.

A report by the BBC has identified the sewage treatment work at Dorking as responsible for the highest number of unpermitted spills. 

Mole Valley Council says it has questioned the Environment Agency and Thames Water that runs the facility.

Thames Water has been contacted for a specific statement on the report.
