Octopus Energy says it's unlikely to break even this year, despite suppliers being allowed to charge 54% more.

Yesterday it was announced the average energy bill will jump by almost £700 a year in April,  affecting over 20 million households.

Lib Dem leader Sir Ed Davey was Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change between 2012 and 2015.  

The MP for Kingston says the current government should have stuck with the polices he implemented.
