People in New Malden say they are “perplexed” by a new Toolstation advert that urges shoppers to “keep the engine running.”

A large banner has been pinned to the wall of the building and decorating merchant in Coombe Road.

People living near it says it sends out a confusing message when drivers are being told not to let their cars idle.
