Spelthorne Borough Council says its share of the council tax bill has dropped below 10%.

But the authority says there will be an overall increase of £5 per year for people living in Band D properties.

The tax is made up of three elements: Borough Council services, County Council services, and funding of Surrey Police.

Surrey County Council has increased its share by 4.99%, while Surrey’s Police and Crime Commissioner precept has increased by 3.5%.
