The Royal Marsden has been awarded two funding grants for projects that will advance the earlier and faster detection of cancer.

£730,000 will be used to offer whole body MRI scans to patients with an inherited cancer gene.

£1.4 million will be used to help The Marsden roll out liquid biopsies of pancreatic and bile duct cancers in six London hospitals.

The money is coming as part of a competition, launched in March last year, by Twickenham based SBRI Healthcare.
