Wandsworth Council says progress in cutting carbon emissions in the borough last year “was strong.”

Emissions have fallen from 1,482 kilotons to 846, or by 42%, over the past 5 years.

Just under half of borough emissions come from the electricity and gas used in homes, with a quarter from transport.

The rest comes from industry, business and the public sector.

A budget of over £5 million is available to help Wandsworth reach its target of becoming carbon neutral by 2030.
