Wandsworth is planning to become the only council in the country to reduce its council tax bills.

Councillors have proposed a net 1% decrease in the authority’s share of the tax. 

This takes Wandsworth’s overall average Band D council tax bill for the entire year to just over £872.

Around half of London boroughs will be raising council tax by over £70 per household this year.

That includes the Greater London Authority increase.
