A Saudi consortium hoping to buy Chelsea has been told its offer hasn't been taken forward to the shortlist stage.

It's due to concerns over possible delays the Saudi Media Group would've faced in completing the purchase.

Numerous bids have been submitted after sanctions were imposed on Russian owner Roman Abramovich following the invasion of Ukraine.
