The government says the club can be sold as long as Russian owner Roman Abramovich doesn't make any profit, after he was sanctioned over the invasion of Ukraine.
Chelsea have been given a licence to operate but it has a number of restrictions including a transfer ban.
Boss Thomas Tuchel hopes the situation is resolved soon.
