“Throwley Yard” is set to open next year, and will feature a cinema, food hall and flexible space for a range of cultural activities.
The site has been empty for nearly ten years after the company that owned it went into administration.
The council has secured £11 million from the Government’s Future High Streets Fund for four projects, including this one.
