Staff from the Ministry of Defence are going to help process visa applications of Ukrainians fleeing the war - after criticism the process is too slow

Wimbledon Tory MP Stephen Hammond says “ the government must act more decisively, effectively and faster to offer sanctuary to Ukrainian refugees”.

He adds that biometric checks on those fleeing the war is slowing down the process.
