The government has confirmed it’ll pay one third of the cost to stabilise Hammersmith Bridge.

This will take the amount of money they’ve given to £7m.

It’s hoped this phase of the work will take less than a year to complete.

Pedestrians, cyclists, and boats will be able to use the bridge while they take place.
