Three affordable housing schemes in Brentford and Chiswick have been halted due to the rising costs of construction materials

Hounslow council says the developments included the building of additional homes that weren’t part of an original target.

The schemes affected are Field Lane and Mercury Close in Brentford and Mills Row in Chiswick.

The authority says its previous commitment of building 1,000 new homes by this year has already been reached.
