A plaque dedicated to a firefighter who died in the line of duty was unveiled in Wimbledon town centre this morning.

Anthony Marshall was killed when the old Woolworths in Gladstone Road collapsed in the aftermath of a fire in 1981.

The Red Plaque scheme aims to commemorate firefighters who have died in the line of duty close to where they were killed.

Andy Fullerlove is a former firefighter at Wimbledon; he’s created a memorial garden to him.
